At Halton Multicultural Council we can help you understand how the system in Canada works. We offer our services in more than 15 different languages. We provide information and referrals in regards to all your basic needs when you arrive, such as: issues related to the health care system, education, job search and training, community agencies serving the public, forms and applications for government programs and services, etc.

As Permanent Resident we can help you with the following services:

Health

Help identifying medical needs
Application for Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) Card
Raising a Child with Special Needs - A Newcomers Approach (Program)
Referral to Dental Services in your area
Referral to Family Doctors in your area
Referral to specialized agencies for disability issues (hearing impaired, autism, etc.)
Referral to supporting agencies for special needs (diet, heart condition, diabetes, etc.)
