Labour Market Access - Mentoring Program
Welcome! We are happy that you are interested in volunteering your time and talents with Halton Multicultural Council Labour Market – Mentoring Program
The objective of the program is to provide support and assistance to internationally-trained professional newcomers to overcome the barriers they face in their search for proper employment and efforts towards integration into the labour market and ultimately wider community.
We ask that you spend an average 1 to 2 hours per week for six weeks or more of course this is flexible and can be arranged around your schedule, to provide information about labour market, identify employment options, help build professional networks, provide information about professional requirements, introduce workplace culture and norms, and being a good friend and colleague.
